NK to Participate in AG Group Draw

A
representative from North Korea is scheduled to arrive this evening for the
Incheon Asian Games Group Draw.

A
Ministry of Unification official told reporters this morning, “College of
Physical Education Dean, Yang Seong
  Ho,
and eight other affiliated staff members traveling on Chinese airline,
  will arrive at Incheon International Airport at approximately 10:10 P.M.”

As
part of the related international seminar, taking place in Songdo International
Business District, Dean Yang will
  give a
speech on August 20th at 4 P.M., where it
 
is expected that he will  clarify
issues surrounded the North’s participation in the upcoming Games.

On
August 21st, the other representatives from North Korea are slated to
participate in Incheon Asian Games Group Drawing, followed by a tour of the
main stadium, athletes’ village, and other playing fields to be utilized during
the upcoming competition.

The  Olympic Council of Asia announced on August
13th that North Korea plans to bring 150 athletes to participate in 14 of the
Games’ events. The North submitted a request for  a total of 352 people to enter the South  as part of the competition’s envoy.
